Billing Insurance For Your Healthcare

Billing Insurance For Your Healthcare With Summit Sports Chiropractic

Providing the highest level of care possible for our patients has always been our number one priority. To ensure that we are accessible to more patients, we have decided to accept most major insurances!

Don’t worry! If you have a plan with limited coverage or high deductibles you may still be considered a cash patient and pay our time of service rate!

The Details

We are considered preferred chiropractic providers for:

  • Regence
    • HMA & RGA included
  • Kaiser Permanente
  • Kaiser Foundation Health Plan of Washington
  • Aetna
  • Lifewise
  • Premera*
    • We are not currently in-network with Premera’s Medicare Advantage Plans
  • UnitedHealthCare/Optum
  • Humana
  • Cigna
  • All major Personal Injury and Motor Vehicle Insurance Companies

We are not contracted with Medicaid/Apple Health/Molina, VA, TriWest, or Washington L&I.

When it comes to billing insurance we, as a clinic, have very specific requirements. Read on to make sure you're prepared to make the most of your insurance coverage!

We require a credit card or debit card on file for payment. We do accept all major credit cards, HSA, and FSA cards. Insurance claims over 90 days old will become the patient’s responsibility, and a balance due email will be sent.

With insurance contracts in place, being on time (preferably early) to your appointment is imperative! If you are more than 5 minutes late to your appointment, not only will you potentially be charged a late fee but your provider is not allowed to bill for that time resulting in them getting paid less than they should for their time. Ultimately, being late not only affects your provider but affects your treatment plan and care.

Benefits Checks

While we are able to do insurance benefit checks for your visit, we require at least 48 hours to do so and if your insurance information is not provided in time, you may be asked to pay out of pocket at the time of service. Insurance benefit checks are not a guarantee of coverage and as such you will be responsible for any charges your individual plan does not cover, such as Laser Therapy, or additional units of massage therapy beyond your plans allowed amount.

For out-of-state BlueCrossBlueShield or Anthem plan holders, please upload your insurance information under Regence or Premera and our billing team will handle the rest!

Laser Therapy

Unfortunately Laser Therapy is not a covered service by any major private health insurance company or Medicare. Therefore, we exclusively offer it as an add-on service with an additional cash fee. We will not be able to bill your insurance company or provide you a superbill for this service.
